Shrimp Tacos Mango Salsa (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Shrimp

01 - 500 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 15 ml olive oil
03 - 5 g chili powder
04 - 2.5 g ground cumin
05 - 2.5 g smoked paprika
06 - 2.5 g salt
07 - 1.25 g black pepper
08 - Juice of 1 lime

→ Mango-Avocado Salsa

09 - 1 ripe mango, diced
10 - 1 ripe avocado, diced
11 - 35 g red onion, finely chopped
12 - 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced
13 - 10 g fresh cilantro, chopped
14 - Juice of 1 lime
15 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Serving

16 - 8 small corn or flour tortillas, warmed
17 - Lime wedges
18 - Fresh cilantro, optional

# Steps:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Toss to coat evenly. Let marinate while preparing the salsa.
02 - In a separate bowl, gently mix mango, avocado, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
03 - Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
04 - Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until warm and pliable.
05 - Divide grilled shrimp among tortillas. Top each with mango-avocado salsa. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

# Notes:

01 - Add shredded cabbage or lettuce for extra texture.
02 - Pineapple may be substituted for mango for a different flavor profile.
03 - For increased heat, include some jalapeño seeds in the salsa.
04 - Pairs well with crisp lager or citrus-forward white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc.
