Fried Goat Cheese Appetizer (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ounces goat cheese
02 - ½ cup panko bread crumbs
03 - 1 teaspoon Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
04 - 1 Egg
05 - ⅓ cup all-purpose flour

# Instructions:

01 - Slice a 4-ounce log of goat cheese into 6 disks.
02 - Add a teaspoon or two of Everything But The Bagel Seasoning to the bread crumbs and toss to combine.
03 - Whisk the egg together with a tablespoon of water in a shallow bowl to make an egg wash.
04 - Add the flour to a clean plate.
05 - Start by pressing the chilled goat cheese into the flour. Then, dunk the cheese in the egg wash mixture, flipping to coat. Finally, press the goat cheese in the panko bread crumbs.
06 - Heat olive oil in a shallow pan over medium heat. Fry the goat cheese in the pan, flipping every 15-30 seconds until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Freeze the goat cheese for 15-30 minutes for easier slicing.
02 - Freeze the goat cheese balls for easier rolling.
03 - Use a knife that has been run under hot water to make slicing easier.
04 - Press the panko bread crumbs firmly into the cheese.
05 - Add Everything But The Bagel Seasoning to the bread crumbs for an added layer of flavor.
