Whisk the egg together with a tablespoon of water in a shallow bowl to make an egg wash.

Add the flour to a clean plate.

Start by pressing the chilled goat cheese into the flour. Then, dunk the cheese in the egg wash mixture, flipping to coat. Finally, press the goat cheese in the panko bread crumbs.

Heat olive oil in a shallow pan over medium heat. Fry the goat cheese in the pan, flipping every 15-30 seconds until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and serve immediately.
