→ Warm Vanilla Frosting

16 - 2 cups powdered sugar
17 - 2 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
18 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
19 - 2-4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream

# Instructions:

01 - Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a mixer. Mix and allow to proof for about 5 minutes until foamy.
02 - Add salt and flour to the mixture. Knead on medium speed until dough is smooth and elastic. Turn onto a floured counter and let rise, covered, for 10 minutes.
03 - Roll dough into a 10x12-inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
04 - Roll dough lengthwise into a log. Slice down the center, leaving 1/2 inch at one end attached. Twist the dough ropes and tuck the ends underneath.
05 - Place the twisted dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with a tea towel and let rise for 20 minutes while preheating the oven.
06 - Bake at 375°F for 23-25 minutes until lightly golden. Allow to cool slightly before adding glaze.
07 - Mix glaze or frosting ingredients and spread onto the twist after it has cooled for 10-15 minutes.
08 - Combine room temperature butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla extract and powdered sugar, whipping until creamy. Spread on the twist once warm.

# Notes:

01 - Tightly rolling the dough will create more defined layers in the finished twist.
02 - This recipe yields one large cinnamon twist that can be sliced into up to 12 portions.
