Sweet Air Fryer Churros (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup water
03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - Cooking spray

→ Cinnamon-Sugar Coating

09 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
10 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11 - 2 tablespoons melted butter

# Instructions:

01 - In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
02 - Once boiling, reduce heat to low and add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until a dough forms and pulls away from the sides (about 2–3 minutes).
03 - Remove the saucepan from heat and let the dough cool for 5–7 minutes.
04 - Add vanilla and beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy. The dough will be thick and sticky.
05 - Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 1-inch bites onto a parchment-lined baking tray.
06 - Place the tray in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up.
07 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
08 - Air fry the bites in batches for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
09 - While still warm, brush with melted butter and toss in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat completely.
10 - Serve warm with chocolate sauce or caramel if desired.
