01 -
Preheat oven to 400°F.
02 -
Trim your strawberries and add them to a food processor. Pulse until you have a chunky puree. Set aside.
03 -
Mix together your butter, sugar, and egg in a large mixing bowl on medium-high speed for about 2 minutes.
04 -
Add in your vanilla, buttermilk, and strawberry puree and mix again until blended.
05 -
Add in both flours, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and mix on low speed until just incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed.
06 -
Add donut batter to a large piping bag or freezer bag. Place the bag into a large cup or mug and fold it over the sides of the cup. Use a rubber spatula to fill the bag neatly. Close the bag and snip off the corner.
07 -
Grease donut tin and squeeze batter into each tin carefully, filling them no more than halfway. Bake for 7-8 minutes on the middle rack.
08 -
Whisk together powdered sugar and milk in a bowl and set aside.
09 -
Transfer baked donuts to a wire rack. Pour glaze over each donut, allowing the glaze to drip off. Alternatively, dip the top of each donut into the glaze. The glaze will harden in 20-30 minutes.
