Overnight Breakfast Casserole Dish (Print Version)

A hearty overnight breakfast bake with sausage, cheeses, and bread for easy mornings.

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 cups cubed bread (day-old or slightly dried)
02 - 1 lb breakfast sausage (or diced ham/bacon)
03 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
04 - 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 1/4 cup diced green onions (optional)
06 - 8 large eggs
07 - 2 cups milk
08 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
10 - Salt and black pepper to taste
11 - Butter or cooking spray (for greasing)

# Steps:

01 - Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
02 - Layer the cubed bread evenly across the bottom of the dish.
03 - Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
04 - Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the bread, followed by both cheeses and green onions.
05 - In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
06 - Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole.
07 - Cover tightly with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or at least 6 hours).
08 - The next morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
09 - Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
10 - Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
