Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies (Print Version)

Matcha cookies with rich chocolate chips, a unique blend of sweet and earthy flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - ¾ cup flour
02 - ½ Tbsp culinary grade matcha
03 - ¼ tsp baking powder

→ Wet Ingredients

04 - 4 ½ Tbsp unsalted butter
05 - 1 egg
06 - ⅓ cup sugar

→ Mix-ins

07 - 1 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Steps:

01 - Sift the matcha, baking powder, and flour together into a bowl.
02 - Allow the butter to come to room temperature and stir until creamy. Fold in the sugar in portions (about ⅓ at a time) until fully incorporated and smooth.
03 - Beat the egg and mix it into the creamed butter and sugar mixture.
04 - Fold the sifted dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
05 - Mix in the chocolate chips and let the dough rest for a few minutes.
06 - Roll small balls of dough between your hands, place them on a cookie sheet, and lightly flatten each one.
07 - Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C). Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
08 - Reduce the oven temperature to 300°F (150°C) and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
09 - Remove the cookies from the oven, transfer them to a rack to cool, and enjoy their crunchy texture.

# Notes:

01 - Switch out semi-sweet chocolate chips for white chocolate chips for a sweeter variation.
