Preheat your mini waffle maker and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

In a bowl, mix together shredded hashbrowns, mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Spoon half the mixture into the center of the waffle maker and spread evenly. Close the lid and cook for 4–6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Carefully remove and repeat with the remaining mixture.
