Pour pecan pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs with vanilla extract and salt. Pour mixture evenly over the pecan filling.

Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top—do not stir.

Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix, trying to moisten as much of the top as possible.

Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
