Easy Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
02 - 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
03 - 1/4 cup honey
04 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
05 - 1/4 cup rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
06 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced or grated

→ Thickener

09 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
10 - 1 tablespoon water

→ Garnish & Serving

11 - Sesame seeds
12 - Chopped green onions
13 - Cooked rice

# Instructions:

01 - Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
03 - Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken.
04 - Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
05 - Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
06 - In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water. Stir the mixture into the sauce in the crockpot.
07 - Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot, stir well, and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
08 - Serve the teriyaki chicken over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
