Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings (Print Version)

Juicy on the inside, ultra-crispy on the outside — these air fryer wings deliver big flavor with minimal oil and maximum crunch.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes, tips removed
02 - 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
03 - 1 tsp kosher salt
04 - ½ tsp black pepper
05 - ½ tsp garlic powder
06 - ½ tsp onion powder
07 - ½ tsp smoked paprika

→ Optional Sauce

08 - ¼ cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 tsp honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)

# Steps:

01 - Pat wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove moisture and ensure crispiness.
02 - In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
03 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
04 - Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
05 - For extra crispiness, increase the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for the final 5 minutes of cooking.
06 - While wings cook, mix hot sauce, melted butter, and honey (if desired) in a bowl.
07 - Toss cooked wings in the sauce just before serving or serve dry with your choice of dipping sauces.

# Notes:

01 - Baking powder (not baking soda) ensures crispy skin.
02 - Dry rub-only wings pair well with dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese.
03 - Perfect for meal prep or party snacks.
