Cherry-Red Velvet Nice-Cream Bowls (Print Version)

Creamy cherry-banana bowls with chocolate, vegan and refreshing. A naturally sweet, vibrant frozen delight.

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit Base

01 - 2 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
02 - 240 ml frozen pitted cherries
03 - 15 ml pure maple syrup (optional, to taste)
04 - 5 ml natural vanilla extract
05 - 5–10 ml unsweetened cocoa powder

→ Toppings

06 - 20 g dark chocolate (70% or higher), chopped into shards
07 - Fresh cherries, halved (optional, for garnish)
08 - Shredded coconut or chopped nuts (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Combine frozen banana slices, frozen cherries, maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and cocoa powder in a high-speed blender or food processor.
02 - Blend on high speed, pausing to scrape down the sides as required, until completely smooth and creamy. Add a small amount of non-dairy milk only if necessary to enable blending; maintain a thick consistency.
03 - Taste and add more maple syrup if a sweeter flavour is desired.
04 - Divide the nice-cream evenly between two serving bowls.
05 - Sprinkle chopped dark chocolate over each bowl.
06 - Garnish with fresh cherry halves and optional toppings such as shredded coconut or chopped nuts.
07 - Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 20–30 minutes for a firmer consistency before enjoying.

# Notes:

01 - For vibrant colour and added antioxidants, blend in a small cooked beetroot (peeled and chopped) with the fruit base.
02 - Replace dark chocolate with vegan white chocolate for flavour variety.
03 - Pairs well with chilled rosé or sparkling water with lime.
04 - Omit nuts for a nut-free serving; always verify chocolate and toppings for potential allergens.
