07 - 75 g unsweetened cocoa powder
08 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
09 - 0.5 teaspoon baking powder

→ Caramel Cheesecake Layer

10 - 450 g cream cheese, softened
11 - 120 ml caramel sauce
12 - 60 g powdered sugar
13 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 - 240 ml heavy whipping cream

→ Assembly and Garnishes

15 - 480 ml whipped cream or whipped topping
16 - 120 ml caramel sauce, for drizzling
17 - 40 g chocolate shavings or chocolate chips
18 - 30 g chopped pecans (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 23×33 cm baking pan. Whisk melted butter, granulated and brown sugars in a large bowl until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder; stir gently until combined. Pour batter into pan and bake 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely, then cut brownies into bite-sized cubes.
02 - Beat softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. Add caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until thoroughly blended. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold whipped cream into the caramel cheesecake mixture until smooth and airy.
03 - In a trifle dish or individual glasses, arrange one-third of the brownie cubes. Spread over one-third of the caramel cheesecake mixture. Drizzle with caramel sauce. Repeat layers twice, finishing with whipped cream on top. Garnish with chocolate shavings, chopped pecans if using, and additional caramel drizzle.
04 - Refrigerate trifle for at least 2 hours or up to overnight for flavors to meld and layers to set. Serve well chilled.

# Notes:

01 - Store-bought brownies and whipped topping can be used for convenience.
02 - Pecans may be substituted with walnuts or omitted for a nut-free option.
03 - A pinch of sea salt can be added to the caramel for a salted caramel variation.
04 - Individual portions can be prepared in jars or glasses for easy serving at gatherings.
05 - Pairs well with coffee or dessert wine such as Sauternes.
