Air Fryer Sweet Potato Chips (Print Version)

Thin, crisp sweet potato chips with natural sweetness and satisfying crunch, ready in your air fryer in just 25 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Chips

01 - 2 medium sweet potatoes, scrubbed
02 - 1 tbsp olive oil
03 - ½ tsp sea salt

→ Optional Seasoning

04 - ½ tsp smoked paprika
05 - ¼ tsp garlic powder
06 - Pinch of cayenne pepper

# Steps:

01 - Slice sweet potatoes into very thin rounds (⅛ inch or thinner) using a mandoline or sharp knife.
02 - Pat slices dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
03 - In a large bowl, toss slices with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
05 - Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches to avoid overlap). Air fry for 10–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Monitor closely in the last few minutes to prevent burning — cooking time varies by thickness.
06 - Remove chips once crisp and golden. Let cool slightly — they’ll crisp up more as they cool. Repeat with remaining slices. Store in an airtight container once fully cooled.

# Notes:

01 - For ultra-crispy chips, soak raw slices in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before air frying.
02 - Season after cooking for a lighter coating, or pre-season for bolder flavor.
03 - Try cinnamon and a touch of brown sugar for a sweet version.
