# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
02 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
06 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch

→ Pastry & Finish

07 - 1 box refrigerated pie crusts (2 sheets), thawed
08 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
09 - 1 tablespoon milk (to mix with egg)
10 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
11 - Powdered sugar or glaze for drizzling (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Cook for 5–6 minutes until apples are soft and the mixture thickens. Let cool.
02 - Unroll pie crusts and cut out 8 rounds (4–5 inches wide) using a cutter or glass. Re-roll scraps as needed.
03 - Spoon about 1 tablespoon of apple filling onto the center of half the rounds. Top with remaining rounds and press edges with a fork to seal.
04 - Brush each hand pie with beaten egg mixed with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
05 - Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Place pies in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches). Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
06 - Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally drizzle with glaze or dust with powdered sugar.

# Notes:

01 - Use pre-made apple pie filling to save time.
02 - Swap apples for pears or berries for variation.
03 - Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
